The new line matrix ribbon family gives you choices to suit your budget and print volume
Printronix has expanded our offering of highly reliable line matrix printing ribbons to give P7000 users the lowest cost per page, darkest print and longest life. These new ribbons contain the necessary ingredients to be read by infrared OCR and bar code scanners, and produce sharp high-contrast bar codes and text. Priced to match your print volume and budget, the new ribbon packages offer more options for cost-effective purchasing.
These ribbons offer a low purchase price per ribbon plus the convenience of ordering in smaller quantities for moderate use requirements. This ribbon is ideal for average use customers in banking, retail, logistics and other distributed printing environments.
This ribbon has been the gold standard for years and continues to offer the same benefits as before. It is a workhorse solution for most report and label printing applications.
These ribbons offer the lowest total cost of printing, longest ribbon life and fewest user interventions. This ribbon is designed for higher-use customers in manufacturing, back office applications and any application using high-volume batch printing.
Due to the proprietary pigments and dyes used in the P7000 ribbon design an image 20% darker than our previous ribbons was achieved. This all means darker print for longer periods of time. All this without introducing the risk of ink contamination common with “dark” third party ribbons. In contrast, most third party ribbons achieve darkness by simply slopping on heavy loads of ink that readily migrates into the print head.
The P7000 ribbon’s unique new formulation actually delivers more yield per unit volume of raw materials. These savings are passed on to the user resulting in an actual decrease in the cost per page over the already amazingly economical P5000 ribbons.
The ribbons include the necessary bar code to work integrally with the new Integrated Print Management System to provide complete visibility. The P7000 has a new feature that automatically monitors and communicates ribbon life. This allows the system administrator to have precise control over print quality, consumable costs, and job planning.
