Thermal Media and RFID Smart Labels

Thermal Bar Code Media and RFID Smart Labels

The best printing solution is achieved when the printer, ribbon, and media are matched to the application requirements. The use of Genuine Printronix Thermal Media  or RFID Smart Labels  will ensure image quality, consistent bar code or RFID tag performance, and optimum application output required for today's production environments.

Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Genuine Printronix Thermal Transfer Ribbons used in a thermal or RFID printer are a critical element of the printing system. It's design, specification and selection are of the utmost importance in maintaining the integrity of the printer and the application. Printronix, with its years of experience in the design of printers and their applications promises that you will receive the exact material required to maximize the performance of your Printronix printer.

Online Data Validation

Online Data Validation (ODV)

Online Data Validation (ODV) is an option exclusive to our T5000r thermal bar code and SL5000r MP2 RFID printers. This unique quality control option can inspect each bar codes on every label printed on a Printronix thermal or RFID printer. If any code on a label fails, the label is automatically cancelled and a replacement label is printed.

PrintNet Enterprise Ethernet

PrintNet Enterprise combines a fully integrated Ethernet adapter and Java-based remote management software giving users flexibility and control of their printers. This printer management tool provides increased IT resource efficiency, reduced downtime costs, maximized security, and complete compatibility across Printronix printing technologies.

Cutter

Cutter and Cutter Tray

For applications that require individual labels or groups of labels for applications such as item level part numbering or pallet labeling, the SL5000r MP2 or T5000r printers may be ordered with a cutter mechanism installed (for cutting tags and label liner), or the option can be installed by an authorized service representative at a later date. Once installed, the printer can be configured to automatically cut media after each or a specified number of labels is printed.

T5000r with Rewinder

Rewind Kit

For applications that require on the spot labeling or batch production, the internal rewinder supports Peel-Off and Batch Rewind Media Handling modes. The printer can be ordered with a rewinder or it can be field installed at a later date by an authorized service representative.

Wireless Printer Interface

Wireless Ethernet

The T5000r and SL5000r MP2 printers provide 802.11b wireless Ethernet connectivity. The wireless option comes standard with the powerful remote printer management tool, PrintNet Enterprise. This option can be factory installed or it can be installed in the field by an authorized service representative.

Coax and Twinax Interface

Coax/Twinax Host Interface

The coax/twinax host interface option mounts inside the printer and functions as a protocol converter to allow the direct connection of the printer to a host computer that uses either a coax or a twinax data interface. The printer may be ordered with the coax/twinax option installed, or it can be field installed by an authorized service representative.

RFID Upgrade Kit

RFID Upgrade Kits

RFID Upgrade Kit allows a customer to upgrade their standard T5000r thermal bar code printer to an RFID SmartLine printer in the field for an easy transition to RFID when needed.

Real Time Clock

Real Time Clock (RTC)

The RTC is a clock chip with internal battery. The clock keeps track of the year, month, day, hour, minute and second values. It will continue to operate when the printer is off. Graphic languages can use the RTC values to program fields in labels to indicate the date and/or time. This is useful for printing production and expiration dates.

Bar Code

Printer Emulations

T5000r and SL5000r MP2 printers come standard with PGL, ZPL™, SATO, Datamax, TEC, and Intermec programming languages to allow for plug and play installation without any reprogramming of your native code.

Bar Code

XML

The Printronix enabled XML-based printing solution  lets users implement XML Forms printing without the need for additional middleware and complicated integration efforts. XML, or Extensible Markup Language, employs user-defined tags to identify data content and allows business applications to interface and exchange data content seamlessly. Printronix's XML Forms printing gives users the ability to print bar codes and encode radio frequency identification (RFID) smart labels easily as they adapt their business processes to new compliance standards.  XML partners.

Bar Code

PXML

PXML is an XML based connectivity and control interface that delivers real-time remote printer management and helps simplify RFID implementation. Based on the open XML standards, PXML allows industry leaders of printer and RFID device-management software to interface easily with Printronix 5r printers controlling the printer(s) and monitoring their print jobs and status.

Bar Code

GPIO (General Purpose Input Output)

GPIO is both hardware and software. The hardware is the actual IO board to be mounted in the printer, and the software is the GPIO Manager which is part of the Printronix Remote Management Software Advanced Tool Kit. The GPIO hardware is a printed circuit board containing optically isolated inputs and outputs as well as relays. The GPIO software is both a printer resident GPIO event parser and a PC-based GPIO manager that allows the user to define how the general purpose IO hardware should behave for the given application.

Bar Code

TN5250/3270

Traditionally, migrating away from Twinax or Coax to Ethernet eliminated valuable job control along with costly and inflexible infrastructure. Now, with TN5250, TN3270, or the latest IPDS, the choice between job control and cost reduction / flexibility is eliminated. These new options now enable Ethernet printing with the job control these mission critical applications require. Not only does this option preserve the job control, but it adds all the remote management capability of PrintNet Enterprise.
