Programming RFID Labels is Easy

RFID commands have been added to the popular graphic languages supported by Printronix including Printronix PGL language, the industry standard bar coding graphics language, to provide easy transition from bar codes to RFID Smart Labels. This allows Printronix RFID solutions to integrate easily into your current label printing applications at a lower cost than other RFID hardware providers.

Automatic Data Validation

Under software control, the RFID printer writes data to the RFID tag, then validates that the EPC information can be read reliably. After completing this validation process, the RFID printer prints the human-readable and bar code data. If for any reason the RFID encoding process cannot be validated, the RFID label is printed with an overstrike pattern to prevent it from entering your supply chain.

Migration of Existing Applications to RFID is Easy

Printronix has developed a set of Software Migration Tools (SMT) to enable the printer to automatically create RFID commands from your existing UCC label bar code application. The tool will encode bar code data in your current data stream to the Printronix RFID Smart Label tag.

The RFID Smart Label print surface employs the printing characteristics of Printronix Media 110 premium coated paper for thermal transfer printer. For an excellent print quality we recommend Printronix Wax/Resin Blend Thermal Transfer Ribbon 8500. This ribbon is formulated to provide excellent high speed print quality with premium durability performance on Printxonix Certified RFID Smart Labels.
